Prior to treatment:

All clutter needs to be removed. Kitchen cabinets, under sinks, and any food items need to be either put in the fridge or bagged up to avoid contamination from the chemicals. The less clutter, the more effective our treatment will be. We will be concentrating on known problem areas (under the fridge, dishwasher, oven, cabinets, etc.
The treatment might take up to 2 hours, depending on the infestation. During that time, all pets and people and people must remain out of the house during treatment.
After treatment, let the house stand empty for 1-2 hours, giving the chemical time to saturate the cracks and crevices. Then upon entry, open the doors and windows to air the house out for 30 minutes before spending any time in there. People with breathing issues should not enter for several hours after treatment.
Upon clearing, wipe down your hard surfaces (countertops, tables, etc.) that may come in contact with food. Vacuum diligently, making sure to get under ledges, cracks, and baseboards. Empty the canister each time you vacuum and dispose of the contents away from your home (there will be live fleas, eggs, and larvae in there).
The initial treatment will make a big difference in the flea population. The purpose of doing a second treatment in 2-4 weeks is that the eggs are impervious to chemicals, and the residual Gentrol and Zenprox will assist in killing off the fleas. A second treatment is the most effective treatment method.
Vacuuming is the key factor when battling fleas. This cannot be stressed enough.
If there is an in/out animal present, it is recommended that the “hot spots” be treated outside the home. A hot spot is defined as any place the animals rest (porch, under a deck, shady corner, fence line). Outdoor flea populations tend to be the heaviest in shady, moist areas.
We can do spot treatment for these hot spot areas for an additional $50.00 fee. This is not a yard broadcast. This is a “hot spot” treatment only.
